Our work is greatly enhanced by the Council, Trustees and by our founders.

They provide their expertise to help us achieve our purpose of enabling people and organisations to develop their skills for personal and economic growth.

Council

Council

The Council of The City and Guilds of London Institute is an advisory body made up of around 70 members. They make sure that our governance represents a wide spectrum of views.

Trustees

The Trustee Board is a group of up to 13 people that help us pursue our charitable objectives and make sure that we’re financially robust. They are elected from Council.

Founders

Founders

The City and Guilds of London Institute was founded in 1878 by the City of London Corporation and 16 Livery Companies. We still maintain close links with our founders today.
