Our Bursary Programme helps people who are financially unable to study for one of our qualifications

We award approximately 100 bursaries every year for people who wish to study for a City & Guilds or ILM qualification in the United Kingdom, but lack the funds.

Bursaries are grants that cover costs arising as a result of taking one of our qualifications, including:

  • Course fees and/or exam fees
  • Materials/tools/books
  • Childcare
  • Travel expenses
  • Living costs

Qualification criteria

To qualify for a bursary, you will need to:

  • Demonstrate in your application that you are in genuine financial need that would otherwise prevent you from completing your qualification
  • Currently be a resident of, and wish to study in the UK for a City & Guilds or ILM qualification

Please note that the next bursary round is intended for learners who will commence their qualification from 1 March 2018.
